Honestly, this day was the absolute highlight of our time in the UK. We wanted to see Stonehenge, obviously, but this tour delivered so much more than we could have ever expected.
Our guide was fantastic right from the start. A brilliant driver (which is a good thing on those tiny country roads!) and full of stories and bits of history that you'd never get from a guidebook. He made the whole day feel like a real adventure.
Seeing Stonehenge was incredible, but the real surprise for us was Avebury. The fact that you can walk right up to the stones and touch them is just amazing. No ropes, no huge crowds, just you and these massive, ancient stones in the middle of a village. It was a completely different and much more personal experience.
Then came the villages. Lacock was like walking straight into a movie. We had a great time pointing out all the spots from Harry Potter and just soaking in the atmosphere. There was plenty of time to wander on our own and even stop for a drink in a classic old pub, which was a great experience.
And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we got to Castle Combe. I have no words for how beautiful that place is. Genuinely breathtaking. Every photo we took looks like a postcard.
We packed so much into one day, but it never felt rushed. There's absolutely no way we could have seen all this on our own. If you're trying to decide which tour to book, this is the one. It was worth every penny. A truly perfect day.
Spend an unforgettable day uncovering ancient mysteries, wandering among prehistoric stone circles, and discovering England's most picturesque villages.
